Unilever Provides Ultimate Wolves Experience For Boys And Girls Club Kids

More than 60 children from the Boys and Girls Club of the Twin Cities were in attendance for the Timberwolves’ final game of the season against the Nuggets on Thursday with seats provided by Unilever.

Before the game, the group was chauffeured in Total Luxury Limousine buses to the Marriot City Center, where they were hosted for a Unilever-themed dinner and dessert.

Scott Antony, Target Team Director at Unilever was happy to be a part of the event.

"We've got a long-standing tradition of giving back to the communities in which we work," Antony said. He said that since Unilever enjoys great relationships with the Boys and Girls Club and with the Timberwolves, it made sense to put on the event for the kids.

Joe Trevino, Vice President of Operations for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities said the kids were excited for the opportunity.

"It's the last game of the season, and the kids are very, very excited to be here, because not only do they get to have a field trip to the Timberwolves game, but they get to have a nice meal here at the Marriot with their friends.”

Antony hopes the event turns into a tradition.

"We thank the Marriot for hosting the event and for everybody's participation in a very successful and fun event that we hope to repeat in the coming years," he said.

This could greatly benefit the children of the Boys and Girls Club, who Trevino said often can't afford to go to a game on their own.
