The Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx announced that five Summer Basketball Camps would be held June 19 through August 25 throughout the Twin Cities metro area. The registration fee for the five co-ed day camps is $199. Timberwolves forward Mark Madsen will also hold a camp that will take place at Champlin Park High School on June 26-30 ($200 registration). All six basketball camps are sponsored by Freschetta, Gatorade and Gold'n Plump.

Timberwolves and Lynx day camps feature six-hour days that include chalk talks, fundamental drills, team contests, station work, position skills, fastbreak leagues and fun time. All campers will receive a basketball, reversible mesh jersey, camp medal and certificate. The camps feature a 12:1 ratio of campers to instructors. Each camp has an enrollment limit in order to maximize teaching opportunities.

"We are very excited about our summer basketball camps," said Todd Landrum, Director of Timberwolves and Lynx Basketball Camps. "We have something for everyone, including coed camps and advanced skills camps. Our goal is for all campers to have fun and learn basketball skills in a positive learning environment."

In addition to the camps, kids can take part in the Junior Wolves and Junior Lynx programs. This includes the opportunity to take part in a clinic on the Target Center court prior to home games.

In addition to presenting the Timberwolves and Lynx Basketball camps this summer, Gold'n Plump will donate camp scholarships so that 10 underprivileged kids will be able to attend camp for free. The scholarships are awarded based on Gold'n Plump's attributes that include; eating healthy, exercising and caring about others through community involvement.
