Season Report
Shelden Williams landed in Minnesota just before the trade deadline in a tryout situation for 2009-10. During the 15 games, the Wolves were able to evaluate the shot blocking abilities from Williams at the forward and center positions. The Hawks used the fifth overall selection to draft Williams before trading him to Sacramento. Three teams in three years have not allowed a comfortable home for the former Duke standout. Williams' minutes fluctuated throughout his time with the Wolves but he showed some promise on the boards while playing weak-side help defense. On March 6, Williams became the first player in Timberwolves history to record a double-double in less than 20 minutes of court time. Minnesota will make a decision this offseason with a team option to resign Williams.
