Mike Miller Visits Northwest Airlines

Long lines, security checkpoints, and hurried travelers are the all apart of the everyday life at the Minneapolis St.Paul International Airport. Thursday displayed an entirely different environment for the Northwest Airlines employees. The Minnesota Timberwolves kicked-off a partnership with the airlines that is now entering 82 years of service along with the 20th anniversary for the Wolves. Mike Miller joined the festivities to sign autographs and greet the NWA employees.

“This is a big event for us, we understand how hard they work and sometimes that stuff goes unnoticed, we notice everything they do for us and we just want to show our appreciation,” Miller said.

The NWA staff sported Wolves apparel all week as the event provided a nice break from the rigors of working at the airport.

“It’s an amazing thing to work with a Minnesota team and this is a Minnesota company," NWA employee Chris Michori said. "We represent a good city. For a time you get away from a busy day and get to see all the big shots and players, it's great for moral.”

The "Howlin Together" event also received employee donations for a fundraising raffle that will help support the Make a Wish Foundation.

"I’ve always tried to attach myself to the foundation. As an organization, from the owners down to the players, we try to give back. That is one thing that is great about the Timberwolves organization, I’m happy to be part of it,” Miller said.
