2013 EuroBasket Roundup | Sept. 14, 2013

The Spain National Team bounced back from a loss to Greece with an 82-56 win over Finland on Saturday in 2013 EuroBasket Group F play. The win improves Spain to 5-2 on the tournament as they get set for a matchup with Italy on Monday. That gametime is set for 10:45 a.m. CT.

Spain currently sits in third in Group F play, and four teams advance to the quarterfinals from the group. Should Spain advance, they’d play on either Sept. 18 or 19.

Ricky Rubio finished the game with four points on 2-of-7 shooting while also adding an assist and three rebounds—including two on the offensive end. Jose Calderon was the top scorer for Spain with 23 points on 8-of-10 shooting, including 3-of-3 from 3-point range. He also added five assists and a pair of rebounds on the night.

Victor Claver added 12 points, and center Marc Gasol had six.

Spain shot 47.1 percent from 3-point range on the night and had a 43-28 rebounding advantage. They also doubled up Finland with 20 assists on the night.
