Check Us Out ... We Got A Facelift!
As you can see, our website has undergone a redesign, all for the purpose of improving your experience as a Timberwolves fan. You can learn more about some of the new features right here.
What's up Wolves fans? Thanks to the brand new website redesign undertaken here on timberwolves.com, we are now truly the one-stop shop for everything you could hope to know about the organization.
No, really. Want an example? Let's take the home opener. You ask us a question, and we'll explain how the website can answer it.
Can I still find a ticket?
There are a few tickets left. Like, not a lot. The remaining seats are going fast, but you can still get one by clicking on "Tickets" at the top of the page.
Who are we playing, what time does the game start and where can I park?
The Denver Nuggets, 7:00 p.m. and you can find directions to the Target Center and info on where to park underneath the "Tickets" tab.
How good is Denver? Can I read a scouting report? What should I look for from the Wolves in this matchup?
Got you covered. For every game, we'll do a full scouting report with an assistant coach, either on video or web radio. J.B. Bickerstaff, Ed Pinckney, Jerry Sichting or Bob Ociepka will talk about containing Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson, what to expect from the point in Randy Foye's absence and how to get the ball to Al Jefferson in the post. Just keep an eyeball on that main window in the upper left corner of our site, and the eye on the "Wolves News" tab just below it. Every story we cover will be there, and we are here constantly updating the section. Either there, or in our tight, new, unique video player:
"I think fans will really like our new video player, as there is nothing else quite like it on the web," said interactive services manager Scott Spiridigliozzi. "Fans can log on to watch cool packages and stories produced by our broadcast department, check out pre and postgame interviews, view regular web-specific features with players and coaches and much more."
You see, we want to give you the kind of behind-the-scenes action that you simply can't find anywhere else, and we're working all day to bring it to you on the web. Like a new header. At the top of the page you'll see our "Courtside Box," detailing that day's game or event, the next and previous games, and the Northwest Division standings so that fans know where the team stands. Likewise, in the bottom left section of the homepage, you can see who is leading the team in scoring, rebounding and assists throughout the season.
There's still more.
"We have our 'Extras' banner in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen to try and maximize our inventory," said Spiridigliozzi. "Previously, our site looked somewhat patchy with the larger banners, but now we're able to include more features - like Season Ticket Holder Login, Wolves Wire, Seats 3D, Wolves Shop and Timberwolves Dancers - while also improving the overall look."
Another new feature that deserves mention is the "Wolves Around the Web" segment underneath the video player, from where fans can link to the most recent stories on the Timberwolves as covered by the local and national media.
"This way, our fans can come to our site first with the ability to link to the Star Tribune's website or the latest ESPN story on the Wolves," explained Spiridigliozzi. "We want fans to be able to get their fix on their favorite team all in one place, and we hope timberwolves.com can deliver just that."
