The plus/minus figure is a comparison of the Timberwolves' points scored (plus) vs. their points allowed (minus) while a specific player is on the floor. For example, if Mark Madsen enters the game in the first quarter with Minnesota trailing by three and departs in the second quarter with the Wolves ahead by four, he earns a +7 for that stint. These results are tabulated for every player at the conclusion of each game, and then expressed cumulatively as well as in per-game and per-48-minute formats.
