The Timberwolves will partner with Anheuser-Busch, Inc. and Aramark, to implement the Good Sport/Serves You Right action plan at Target Center, designed to encourage fans to continue to act responsibly and respect the rights of others while attending the team's games.

The Good Sport/Serves You Right program is a comprehensive action plan that will continue the tradition of Wolves games being enjoyable, family entertainment with patrons having a good time, but not at the expense of others.

The Good Sport/Serves You Right program focuses on three areas that are key to influencing fans to act responsibly. The program is designed to communicate a series of messages to the public that prompt attitude changes and remind fans of the importance of responsible behavior. Also, there will be additional training for concession workers and security personnel to prevent problems before they happen. Finally, a group designated driver will go to the concession stand outside of section 136 on the lower concourse of Target Center, show a photo ID, and receive a wristband good for one free soda at an arena concession stand.

This training enhances concession vendor skills in recognizing signs of impending intoxication in customers and responding to these situations in a non-confrontational manner. Additionally, when designated drivers register at the concession stand, they will automatically be entered in a drawing for an Anheuser-Busch Timberwolves fleece to be given away at that specific game.

"The vast majority of the thousands of fans who attend a typical Timberwolves game are responsible drinkers. Good Sport/Serves You Right provides Target Center officials with the tools necessary to prevent someone who may have had too much to drink from driving," said Chris Wright, Timberwolves President. "Good Sport/Serves You Right is a program that will help continue our tradition of providing a wholesome, fan-friendly environment at our games."

The Timberwolves, Target Center, Aramark, Anheuser-Busch, Inc., and Kuether Distributing work in partnership to implement the Good Sport/Serves You Right program.
