Nov. 18, 2003 — Donnie Sartori, a native of Waseca, Minn., tonight became the 10 millionth fan to pass through the gates in the 15-year history of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Prior to the game game against Denver, the Timberwolves were 7,894 fans shy of 10 million in team history.

Timberwolves Dance Team members and mascot Crunch greeted Sartori and his son, Dustin, as they passed through the Target Center turnstiles. Sartori, his wife Julie, daughter Kayla and Dustin have lived in Waseca for 20 years. He is a test technician at Itron, Inc., a manufacturer of gas, water and electric meter readers.

For being the 10 millionth all-time fan, Sartori won a trip for two on the Timberwolves' charter flight to Cleveland (Nov. 20-21), hotel accommodations and two tickets to the game at Cleveland to watch the Wolves take on the Cavaliers and rookie phenom LeBron James, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft.

In addition, Sartori and his Dustin were upgraded to courtside seats near the Timberwolves bench for tonight's game. He also received an exclusive Timberwolves 10 Millionth Fan jersey and presented Kevin Garnett with his 2002-03 All-NBA First Team and All-Defensive First Team awards in an on-court pregame ceremony. He also received the new Timberwolves Six-Pack ticket offer that goes on sale Thursday and features games against the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Minnesota reached the 10-million milestone in the team's 563rd regular season home game (Metrodome and Target Center combined). Only the Charlotte Hornets reached 10 million in fewer games, doing so in 425 dates at the 24,042-seat Charlotte Coliseum. The Timberwolves hold the NBA's all-time single-season attendance record with 1,072,572 set during the team's inaugural 1989-90 season in the Metrodome. The largest single-game attendance mark in club history was 49,551 set on April 17, 1990 vs. Denver in the franchise's final Metrodome appearance.
