The FastBreak Foundation's Season of Giving Month focuses on organizations and events that work to improve the holiday season for Minnesotans in need, as well as recognize those in the community who embody the spirit of the season through their work to assist others.

The Minnesota Timberwolves FastBreak Foundation provides and supports hands-on programs that positively impact Minnesota youth. Through giving, education and basketball opportunities, the Foundation enables young people to make responsible decisions, contribute to their futures and experience lifelong memories.

"I just heard we were shopping with kids; I didn't realize they were getting that type of gift card to go nuts with," Stiemsma said. "It was definitely fun to be part of. It's obviously the season of giving, and when you get a chance to do this stuff it's a lot of fun."

Kevin Love Wraps Up 5th Annual Coat Drive

The Coat Drive collected more than 2,500 coats this season, which will be distributed to help those in need this winter. Love wanted a way to impact the community when he joined the Timberwolves in 2008, and the Coat Drive has become a major success in doing just that over the last five years.

Timberwolves Luke Ridnour, Lou Amundson and mascot Crunch made a special visit to Amplatz Children's Hospital to help spread some holiday joy. The three visited the hospital on December 21st and distributed gifts to patients and families to brighten their holiday season as part of The FastBreak Foundation's Season of Giving Month.
