The Timberwolves hosted their annual Holiday Party for Kids presented by Optimum Mortgage Services, Inc. on Sunday at the Roller Garden Skating Rink in St. Louis Park.
Timberwolves players and staff hosted over 150 children and their parents from five non-profit organizations in the metro area. The entire Timberwolves team participated in roller skating and games with the kids and their families. In addition to the activities, children and parents received a meal catered by Big E's Soul Food, and $50 gift cards from Toys 'R Us. The Timberwolves Dance Team was on hand to provide face painting and games for the children.
"It's great that we have the opportunity to be involved each year with the Timberwolves Holiday Party for Kids and have the chance to make a difference in the lives of kids," said Tom Smith, President of Optimum Mortgage Services, Inc. "For the kids that do not have an ordinary Christmas, it is fantastic to know that we have had part in making them smile."
The non-profit organizations participating in this year's annual Holiday Party for Kids are St. Anne's Place, St. Paul's Westside Boys & Girls Club, Division of Indian Work, Reuben Lindh Family Services, and Parenting with Purpose's Overcomers Program.
