The Timberwolves Ten awards program is designed to honor the top senior girls and boys basketball players throughout the State of Minnesota. A committee consisting of coaches , league officials, and media members select the winners. Timberwolves Ten honorees are invited to a VIP reception and are recognized during an on-court presentation at a Timberwolves game. Nomination forms for awards are sent out in the state, in addition to all members of the Minnesota State High School League Officials Association. Nominators are asked to select qualified senior male and female student-athletes based on their basketball skills and community involvement.
Sponsored by Gatorade, the Jr. Wolves program promotes the game of basketball to the youth of Minnesota. These programs include statewide summer camps, pregame clinics and high school games played at Target Center. Youth teams also have the opportunity to play during halftime at Timberwolves home games. The goal is to offer the game of basketball to Minnesota kids of all ages, skill and interest levels. The program continues to expand each year to accommodate a growing interest in youth basketball.
