Timberwolves Caravan-Summer 2012 | Presented by U.S. Bank
The Timberwolves are set to embark on the 2012 U.S. Bank/Minnesota Timberwolves Summer Caravan, supported by Fox Sports North, which will hit the road on Monday, June 11 and make stops in Brainerd, Alexandria and Fairmont. Wolves guard Wayne Ellington and forward Anthony Tolliver will headline this summer's Caravan events. Over the past 22 years, the Timberwolves Caravan has made 97 stops across Minnesota and the upper Midwest.
The U.S. Bank/Timberwolves Caravan, supported by Fox Sports North, is designed to thank Wolves fans in Minnesota for their continued support. The Caravan features an array of activities in three communities outside the Twin Cities metro area. Among the events slated for the tour are free basketball clinics that are open to the public, autograph sessions following the conclusion of the clinics, and appearances by Timberwolves mascot Crunch. After the Caravan opens on June 11 in Brainerd, the tour heads on to Alexandria on Tuesday, June 12 and conclude in Fairmont on Wednesday, June 13. Any ages are welcome to the clinics and no registration is required.
Each clinic will run from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Along with Ellington and Tolliver, player development coach Shawn Respert is scheduled to participate in the Caravan. In addition, Crunch, the team's official mascot, and Timberwolves front-office staff are slated to take part. Crunch will be making special visits at various sites in each community.
Respert will be available for interviews prior to the caravan -- please contact Dan Bell in the Timberwolves' Public Relations department at (612) 673-1603 or firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange an interview. Ellington, Tolliver and Respert will be available for interviews at the conclusion of each clinic.
