Thunder TicketExchange FAQs

About Thunder TicketExchange

What is Thunder TicketExchange and how does it work?
Thunder TicketExchange is an online service that enables secure fan-to-fan transactions for Thunder tickets. Buyers simply select the ticket(s) they want based on price and seat location – without having to bid against other buyers, without having to coordinate delivery from anonymous sellers and without taking any chances that tickets are legitimate. Please note, prices can often exceed face value.

How do I know the tickets I buy are legitimate?
Only Thunder TicketExchange can guarantee legitimate tickets because the tickets sold through Thunder TicketExchange are linked to our ticketing systems, operated through Ticketmaster. If you buy tickets that are sold through a source other than Thunder TicketExchange, you have no way of knowing whether they are counterfeit or have been invalidated. However, with Thunder TicketExchange, once you buy a ticket, we cancel the original barcode and assign you a new one, so you have the security of knowing for certain the ticket being delivered to you is valid. Don't be fooled by other website guarantees, which contain a lot of fine print and exceptions.

How does the seller get paid?
Fans who sell their tickets via Thunder TicketExchange receive payment from Ticketmaster. Since Thunder TicketExchange facilitates the transaction, Thunder TicketExchange collects payment from the buyer and either remits payment to the seller or allows the option of leaving funds collected on the seller's Thunder season ticket account, ensuring a hassle-free seller experience. It's that easy.

How are my tickets delivered?
Depending on the event, Thunder TicketExchange offers TicketFast® or standard UPS ticket delivery options. In some cases, will call at the Chesapeake Energy Arena box office may be offered or required. Learn more about TicketFast® delivery.

What fees are associated with selling tickets?
If your ticket(s) sell, you will receive proceeds equaling the posting price you designate minus a 5 percent seller fee, which will be automatically deducted. That seller fee will be displayed to you during the ticket posting process.

What fees are associated with buying tickets?
The buyer will pay a 20 percent fee that will be reflected during the purchase process, or that will be included in and then deducted from the amount the buyer sees displayed as the resale price of the ticket. Please note, prices can often exceed face value.

What is the "Current Price" per ticket?
The "Current Price" includes the original price plus any amounts that have been added by the seller or any sellers who may have previously held the ticket.

Other amounts or fees may also be included in the Current Price, or may be added on top of the Current Price. If additional amounts are added on top of the Current Price, they will be displayed on the website before you complete your purchase. Please note, prices can often exceed face value.
