What age did you start dancing?

I actually started dancing pretty late in life. I have been a cheerleader my entire life. I grew up cheering and in high school I was on an all star team as well as my school team. However, I've always had a natural rhythm and I loved to dance so I took a couple of classes in high school and then while in college at OU, I studied modern dance and ballet for a year. Performing as a Thunder Girl is a very rewarding experience for me because it allows me to combine my passion for cheerleading and my love of dance. And of course performing in front of the best fans in the NBA is an added bonus to the job :)

What is your ideal vacation spot?

My ideal vacation spot would be somewhere warm and relaxing like Hawaii. I have never been to Hawaii, but I would really like to go one day.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite thing to eat is beans and cornbread. Naturally I can't eat it all the time (even though I wish I could) so I usually just have it when I go home to visit my family.

What is one goal you want to accomplish in your lifetime?

I would really love to write and publish a book (and I will one day). I have been an avid reader my entire life; my mom used to have to tell me to stop reading because I would just read book after book. I think reading has allowed me to develop into a more creative thinker and I am working on turning my creative thoughts into something that would be interesting for others to read.

What is your favorite YouTube video?

When I'm on YouTube I just like to watch dances from other NBA dance teams. I'm always curious to see how styles differ from team to team, and it's fun to watch other dancers.

What is your favorite place to shop?

My favorite place to shop is online. My roommate got me into online shopping and I haven't looked back. You can usually find whatever you're looking for on some website online so it makes shopping a lot easier.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

10 years is so far away! I know that time passes quickly, it's just strange to think about. In 10 years I see myself being happy. I will hopefully be coaching an NBA dance team and getting ready to start a family.

What is your favorite smart phone App?

My favorite App is pandora because I love listening to music.

Who is your role model?

I have two role models and they are my parents. I am very grateful that my parents raised me to have morals and values and to be an independent thinker. They are hard working people and I wouldn't want to emulate anyone else.

What is your favorite thing about Thunder fans?

My favorite thing about Thunder fans is that they are so receptive to us and so appreciating of what we do. A lot of people don't know about all of the hours we put into being Thunder Girls, on top of having full time jobs or being full time students, but Thunder fans make it all worthwhile. It makes us happy to know that the fans appreciate our dancing and our presence in the community.

Three words that describe yourself?

I would describe myself as outgoing because I love meeting people and talking to different types of people. I would also describe myself as honest, and I think that is one of the most important qualities a person can posses. Finally I would describe myself as fiery (not in day to day operation) but I consider myself to be fiery when I am performing :)

What is your favorite community event that you have done with the Thunder?

My favorite community event that I have participated in was the Target Christmas shopping spree. Honestly I don't know if I've ever been involved in anything that touched my heart more. Seeing how happy the grandparents and their grandchildren were was really moving and being a part of a moment like that even in such a small way is something I will never forget.

Favorite cartoon as a kid?

My favorite cartoon was Rugrats. I wish that show was still on!

What is a good book you have read lately?

I recently read "Gone Girl" by Gillian Flynn. It was a really interesting book. It was kind of unexpected for me so I enjoyed it.

Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?

I have a cat named Casper.

What is your best personality trait?

My best personality trait is my ability to stay calm in pretty much any situation.

What is the last concert you have attended?

The last concert I attended was of course a country concert because I love country music! I saw Darius Rucker and Brad Paisley perform at the BOK Center in Tulsa.

Describe what you were feeling during Final Auditions night at Riverwind Casino. And from a scale of 1 - 10, what was your nerve level as the team was being announced.

No matter how many times I do it, I still get nervous at tryouts. This year I was nervous and excited though. I really liked the routine we were performing and it felt good to get back on the stage. And when the names were being called I knew that I had done all I could do to make the team again and that it was just in the judges hands so my nerve level was somewhere around a 6 1/2.

Favorite TV/movie character of all-time?

My favorite movie is Center Stage so naturally my favorite character is the lead, Jody Sawyer.

What is the best movie you have seen lately?

The Avengers is the best movie I've seen recently. It was awesome!

What is your favorite movie of all-time?

My favorite movie is Center Stage. It may or may not be because it's a movie entirely about dance lol.

You have a full day to yourself, what are doing?

On the rare occasion that I have a day off I just like to relax. So I would probably just be lounging around reading a good book.

What is something a Thunder fan might not know about you?

One thing that Thunder fans probably don't know about me is that I love watching the History channel. The documentaries on the past Presidents are my favorite :)
