Brewer, known as a defensive-minded perimeter player fits right into the Thunder’s roster that contains athletic, long and quick players at each position. The veteran has started 301 games in his career with four previous teams. After starting his NBA career with the Utah Jazz where he reached a career-high of 13.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per game during his third year, Brewer spent time with the Memphis Grizzlies, two seasons with the Chicago Bulls and the first half of this year with the New York Knicks. Over his seven seasons, Brewer has excelled mostly as a defender, where he has snatched 1.3 steals per game and in 2007-08 and 2010-11 led the NBA in steals-per-turnover ratio. Brewer has scored 8.2 points per game on 49.2 percent shooting throughout his career and also has valuable playoff experience, including the Conference Finals in 2007 and 2011. The forward has meshed with the rest of the Thunder roster and provide wing depth.
