During the 2002 NBA Draft, 28 teams passed over Iowa forward Reggie Evans a total of 57 times. A lot of those teams were wrong about Evans, who they said was too short at 6-8 to play in the NBA, but not the Sonics, who invited him to training camp and watched him claim the starting job by opening night. Evans is one of the NBA's great undrafted success stories, starting regularly throughout his time in Seattle. Evans has done it with good old fashioned hard work and an unmatched tenacity for rebounding that has earned him the nickname "The Collector". Evans may never be a great scorer and he is undersized for his power forward position, but that hasn't kept him from becoming a valuable player.
