Within his first week of playing regular-season games for the Sonics, Danny Fortson had already become one of the most popular players at KeyArena. Fortson has given the Sonics something they have lacked in recent years, an enforcer who is unafraid to throw around his body and use his size to his advantage. Throughout his NBA career, Fortson has been one of the league's best rebounders, leading the NBA in rebound rate in 2001-02 and 2003-04. In Seattle, Fortson has added to that high-percentage scoring down low and an intimidating presence that changes the game when he enters. No wonder he is affectionately known as "The Baddest Man in Pig Tails".
