Immediately after Team USA’s victory over France, Thunder forward Serge Ibaka and the Spanish national team took to the court in its preliminary Olympic contest.

Spain battled China throughout a back-and-forth opening quarter, leading 19-17 after the first period. Ibaka, who scored 17 points on the day, played a big role in Spain’s 34-point second quarter when it outscored the Chinese by 10. Ibaka was a physical presence in the paint during his 20 minutes of action, pulling down five rebounds and swatting three shots.

OKLAHOMA CITY, Friday, July 27, 2012 – Seventy of the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 82 regular-season games will be carried live and in high definition on the team’s exclusive regional and local TV partner, FOX Sports Oklahoma, the Thunder announced today. The other 12 games will be exclusive national broadcasts on ABC or TNT. The Thunder’s 10 games on ESPN, as well as three on TNT will also be carried on Fox Sports Oklahoma. Brian Davis (play-by-play announcer) and Grant Long (analyst) return for their fifth season as Thunder broadcasters.

The NBA announced this season’s schedule on Thursday, and for the Thunder, it is filled with high-profile matchups, marquee national television appearances and plenty of games with Western Conference implications. With 30 nationally-televised contests, including five on ABC, 10 on TNT, 10 on ESPN, and five on NBA TV, the Thunder will have plenty of opportunities to showcase itself throughout the season. The Thunder's exclusive local and regional television partner FOX Sports Oklahoma will carry the majority of the schedule, 70 games.

In a battle between two international basketball powers this afternoon that pits NBA teammates against one another, Oklahoma City will be represented strongly.

For the very first time, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden will play against their Thunder teammate Serge Ibaka outside of a practice setting… but it likely won’t be the last time. With a combined record of 11-0 in exhibition play this July, it seems likely these two squads will meet up in the medal rounds of the Olympics in August.
