Thunder Revamps Team Web Site

OKLAHOMA CITY, Thursday, April 23, 2009 – The Oklahoma City Thunder officially launched its new team web site this morning at thunder.nba.com. The new site was introduced to increase in-depth content, add additional multi-media elements, expand player profiles and simplify navigation for fans.

“We are thrilled the Thunder web team, in conjunction with the NBA, produced an improved, content-rich site to create more avenues for our fans to follow the team off the court,” said Thunder Vice President of Corporate Communications Dan Mahoney. “We intend for this site to enhance the overall Thunder Basketball experience for fans everywhere.”

Homepage features include an exclusive site for Thunder Season Ticket Members to manage their 2009-10 accounts, a roll-over menu at the top of the page to quickly access categories such as “Team”, “Schedule”, “Community” and “Rumble” as well as Thunder news stories and links.

In a similar model used by other NBA team sites, the new thunder.nba.com homepage displays three, main scrolling features, tickets options for season, group and single-game sales and even a Thunder poll which allows visitors to the site an interactive chance to participate. Other highlights of the new thunder.nba.com include: · The ability to view, print and download stories, news releases, photos and share content via email, Facebook, My Space and others.· Easy-to-navigate and view rich photo galleries of players, Rumble, Community Relations and other events. · Exclusive Thunder player and team wallpaper available for download. · Easy access to a season full of high quality videos, exclusive features, game highlights and interviews and Air Thunder shows. · Additional blogs, analysis and features from Thunder Basketball Writer Chris Silva. · Twitter updates (Tweets) from @okcthunder and @rumblethebison. · A new exclusive blog from Thunder play-by-play announcer Brian Davis, with his observations of the Thunder, the NBA and the playoffs. · Visible, simple links for tickets, Rumble, Thunder Girls, player pages and profiles and game night information. · More space and opportunity on the main page to consistently change and add fresh content. · Updates and information on Ford Center renovations over the next two years.
