Oklahoma City, July 16, 2010 -- Michael Kimball is headed to Las Vegas, courtesy of the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Edmond, Okla., resident is the winner of the “Take the Thunder on Vacation” contest in which Thunder fans submitted photos of themselves wearing official Thunder gear while on summer vacation.
Michael submitted a photo of him and his fiancé, Susanne, at the Great Wall of China from a trip in early June.
For the winning picture, Michael and Susanne win a trip to Las Vegas next week to watch the USA Basketball Showcase. Thunder players Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and Jeff Green will be there as part of the USA Men’s National Team.
“We could not be more excited,” said Michael, a Thunder Season Ticket Member with seats in Loud City. “We’re just stunned. We just feel so fortunate. It’s awesome.”
Submissions from other vacationing fans featured attractions in Hawaii, Florida, Chicago, Yellowstone National Park and various locations in Oklahoma.
