OKLAHOMA CITY, Wednesday, May 20, 2009 – The Oklahoma City Thunder announced today the Thunder Girls workshop schedule for the summer. Beginning on Monday, May 25, the Thunder will host a series of pre-audition workshops in Oklahoma City and the surrounding areas. Each two-hour workshop will be led by Thunder Girls Manager and Choreographer, Sabrina Ellison and include a group warm-up and a dance combination, similar to what participants will perform at auditions. In addition, the workshop session will address the try-out process, provide tips and answer questions.
Space is limited and pre-registration is encouraged. Participants can email sellison@thunder-nba.com to reserve their desired date and location in advance.
The Thunder Girls perform at all 41 home games and make over 100 appearances throughout the region. Last year’s team of 20 was chosen from a pool of nearly 200 talented applicants. Fans can visit thunder.nba.com for more details and updates on Thunder Girls workshops and auditions.
