Thunder Launches Kids Club

OKLAHOMA CITY, Thursday, October 29, 2009 – Limited edition Rumble the Bison bobbleheads are available now by joining the new Thunder Kids Club. The Kids Club officially debuts on Sunday when the Thunder hosts the Portland Trail Blazers at 6 p.m. Children ages 4 to 14 can become inaugural members during the 2009-10 season now by visiting thunder.nba.com, or either of the two Thunder Shops. The Rumble bobbleheads are not available to the general public and can only be purchased through the Kids Club. Those joining the Kids Club at the game on Sunday will receive their Rumble bobblehead immediately.

In addition to the Rumble bobblehead, first-year members of the Thunder Kids Club will receive a Kids Club Kit that includes one complimentary ticket to an upcoming Thunder game, Thunder school supplies and a Thunder draw-string backpack. Additional benefits also include discounted merchandise and invitations to exclusive Thunder events.

Membership fee for 2009-10 is $25 per child. Fans can check out thunder.nba.com for more information and details on the Thunder Kids Club.

  • The Thunder plays at the Detroit Pistons tomorrow night at 7 p.m. The game can be seen on FOX Sports Oklahoma (COX OKC Ch. 37, HD Ch. 722), and can be heard on the Thunder Radio Network, led by flagship station WWLS, the Sports Animal 98.1 FM and 640 AM.
  • Friday's road game against the Detroit Pistons marks the first stop for the Thunderstruck Tour, presented by Budweiser. Fans can catch all forty-one Thunder road games at a different bar or restaurant throughout Oklahoma City and the surrounding areas. Each stop will feature Bud Light specials during the game and the first 50 fans will receive an official Thunderstruck Tour T-shirt. Friday's Thunderstruck Tour stop will be at Henry Hudson's in Norman. Fans can visit thunder.nba.com to see the entire tour schedule.
  • This Sunday at the Ford Center, fans are asked to Pumpkin UP! The Thunder is looking for fans to decorate a Thunder-themed pumpkin for display at the Ford Center. The first 200 entrants who bring an eligible pumpkin to the Nov. 1 game will receive complimentary admission to that night’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers. One eligible pumpkin equals one game ticket. Fans will also be able to purchase additional tickets next to the complimentary seat.
