Thunder to Broadcast Entire Season in High Definition

OKLAHOMA CITY, Wednesday, August 19, 2009 – All 82 regular season Oklahoma City Thunder games will be broadcast in high definition (HD) this season. All games will be carried on either FOX Sports Oklahoma (OKC COX Ch. 37 – HD Ch. 722) or Thunder TV/KSBI (OKC COX Ch. 15 – HD Ch. 715) with play-by-play announcer Brian Davis and color analyst Grant Long returning for their second season. A complete list of cable and satellite stations are listed below, and fans are encouraged to check their local listings.

The Thunder will also play on national TV three times, including once on ESPN when they host the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday, Dec. 16. The Thunder will also play on NBA TV on Sunday, Nov. 15 vs. the Los Angeles Clippers and again on Wednesday, Dec. 2 vs. the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Thunder is one of only ten NBA teams to broadcast all 82 games in HD. The complete TV schedule is below. The entire regular season schedule will be also be on the radio on WWLS The SportsAnimal 640 AM and 98.1 FM in Oklahoma City, and games can also be heard statewide on the Thunder Radio Network with play-by-play announcer Matt Pinto.

Fox Sports Oklahoma will handle 65 of the 82 regular season games on the network.

Wednesday night games will be primarily broadcast on Thunder TV/KSBI. Thunder TV will handle 17 games this season, with 16 of those games on Thunder TV Wednesday nights.

Thunder TV/KSBI will also bring three pre-season games to Thunder fans: Monday, Oct. 12 vs. Phoenix at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 14 vs. Miami in Tulsa at 7 p.m., and Tuesday, Oct. 20 vs. San Antonio in Austin at 7:30 p.m.

WWLS The SportsAnimal 640 AM AND 98.1 FM, and the rest of the Thunder Radio Network, will also cover all seven of the Thunder’s preseason games. A list of the Thunder Radio Network affiliates is below.
