SEATTLE - The Seattle SuperSonics have waived guards
Tre Simmons and
Ezra Williams, General Manager Rick Sund announced today.
The Sonics signed the two players, both rookies, on Sept. 30. Simmons, a University of Washington product, had gone undrafted in the 2005 NBA Draft. Williams, from the University of Georgia, was undrafted in 2003 and previously played for the Sonics 2005 summer-league team.
The Sonics have 18 players remaining on the roster, including three training-camp invitees - guard
Alex Scales and forwards
Noel Felix and
Roger Powell.
