Thunder Season Tickets Available for 2010-2011 Season

Oklahoma City, March 29, 2010 -- The Oklahoma City Thunder launched the 2010-11 season ticket campaign this past weekend with a “Select-a-Seat” event that offered new full-season ticket buyers a chance to join the Thunder family. Fans purchased several hundred tickets at that Saturday event, which was held for pre-qualified buyers who had acted early to seek new season tickets.

Thunder fans who have not yet purchased season tickets for 2010-11 now can do so by phoning (405) 208-HOOP or visiting online at thunder.nba.com.

Fans are encouraged to act sooner rather than later.

“There is no doubt that the level of excitement and enthusiasm surrounding the Thunder is high and continuing to grow,” said Thunder senior vice president Brian Byrnes. “This is the perfect time to make certain you’re part of the Thunder family for the 2010-11 Season.”

The all-day “Select-a-Seat” at the Ford Center March 27 gave hundreds of new Season Ticket Members an opportunity to pick their seats for next season. Among those new members now united with the Thunder was David Moore, a Tulsa businessman who said the trek along the Turner Turnpike is well worth it considering the energy and entertainment of Thunder Basketball.

Moore said he and his family were hooked after their first Thunder game experience.

“My kids had a blast,” he said. “They were constantly looking for Rumble. There was a lot of entertainment at halftime, and that was pretty cool.”

His sentiments were echoed by another new Season Ticket Member, Bryan Tilson of Moore. He made it to Select-a-Seat at his wife’s insistence – even though she was in the hospital, having given birth to the couple’s first child only four days earlier.

“It’s the way we support the team we have -- the electricity in the arena,” said Tilson.

“It’s just phenomenal, and it makes you want to be a part of it. We’re a booming young town. We’ve got a booming young team. You see the drive they have and the support they have from this town -- you can’t not be a fan. You feel like you’re part of the team. Once you get that, it just grows from there.”
