Sea of Thunder Blue on Tap
for Friday's Playoff Game Six

strong>OKLAHOMA CITY, April 28, 2010 -- The NBA Playoffs return to Oklahoma City Friday night as the Thunder takes on the Los Angeles Lakers in Game Six of the first-round series. Tipoff is 8:30 p.m., but fans are asked to be in their seats by 8 p.m. for a rousing welcome of the team. As occurred in Home Game One on April 22, Thunder fans are asked to help create a sea of blue for the matchup, which will be televised on FOX Sports Oklahoma (Cox 37, HD 722).

Blue Thunder T-shirts, courtesy US Fleet Tracking, will be placed on all Ford Center seats prior to doors opening at 7 p.m. Fans are encouraged to put on the shirts and show their Thunder pride at the game.

The national anthem will be performed by a true Oklahoma treasure, internationally acclaimed opera star Leona Mitchell. The Enid native has performed in the greatest opera houses of the world, including stages in New York, Paris, Rome, London, Madrid and Sydney. In 2001, the Grammy Award-winning soprano was inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame.

Single-game tickets for Game Six sold out earlier this week, but opportunities remain for fans wanting to attend the matchup. As the Thunder did for 41 regular-season home games and the previous two home playoff games, 200 tickets will be available in the Fill Up the Ford promotion.

Fill Up the Ford will employ a lottery system to raffle off the final 100 pairs of Loud City tickets. The first 25 numbers drawn will win a complimentary pair of tickets, while the remaining 75 numbers will win an opportunity to purchase two tickets. The promotion begins at 3:30 p.m. outside the Ford Center, with the drawing set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Wings will be provided by Buffalo Wild Wings on Northwest Expressway.

Season Ticket Members had first opportunity to reserve tickets for the playoff games when they renewed their season tickets for the 2010-11 season.

Family-friendly activities kick off outside the Ford Center at 5:30 p.m. with Thunder Alley. Live music will be provided by Tulsa-based band Stephen Speaks. Festivities also include $1 Budweiser beers, inflatable games, face-painting, balloon artists and a sport court. A large screen outside will air the pregame show and FOX Sports Oklahoma’s broadcast of Game Six.

The pregame and postgame TV coverage of “Thunder Live” will be broadcast from the plaza outside the Ford Center. Fans are encouraged to come be a part of the atmosphere surrounding “Thunder Live,” which will air on FOX Sports Oklahoma.

During the game, Thunder fans will have an opportunity to bid on a variety of autographed Thunder memorabilia, including player jerseys, photographs and more. The auction starts at 7 p.m. outside Section 120 and runs through the third quarter. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Thunder Community Foundation, which helps support the Thunder’s community outreach programs.

Halftime entertainment will spotlight the heart-pounding acrobatics of the Skyriders!, widely considered among the top trampoline shows in the world. More information on the Skyriders! is available online at www.theskyriders.com.

In addition to T-shirts, Game Six attendees will also receive Thunderstix furnished by the Thunder’s Founding Partners.
