Rumble's Birthday Weekend!

OKLAHOMA CITY, February 24, 2010 – Rumble the Bison has a busy weekend ahead as he and the Thunder celebrate his birthday with Mascot Mania, a visit from six fellow NBA mascots during Sunday night's game vs. Toronto. Rumble and his pals will hit Bricktown Saturday night to begin the festivities, pose for fan photographs before Sunday's game, perform during the game and debut a new Rumble song and dance that he will perform with the Thunder's junior dance team, The Raindrops.

The other NBA mascots scheduled to join Rumble's party guest list include: The Gorilla (Phoenix Suns), Clutch (Houston Rockets), Boomer (Indiana Pacers), Rocky (Denver Nuggets), Bango (Milwaukee Bucks) and G-Wiz (Washington Wizards).

On Saturday, Rumble, several of his mascot cohorts and a few Thunder Girls will start the party in Bricktown by paying a visit to RedPin Bowling at 7:00 p.m. to greet fans and "help" them bowl.

On Sunday, Rumble and his party will begin Mascot Mania with a pre-game photo session from 5:25-5:45 p.m. outside Section 102 in the Ford Center. The game vs. the Toronto Raptors tips off at 6:00 p.m. The mascots will perform several times during the game.

Sunday night's Rumble birthday celebration also includes the debut of a new song and dance called "Do the Rumble." Created especially for Rumble, the song will be performed with the help of The Raindrops, who are presented by Trochta's Flowers & Greenhouses.

The 2009 NBA Mascot of the Year, Rumble communicates with his fans via Twitter (@rumblethebison) and Facebook (facebook.com/rumblethebison). Fans have a special opportunity to wish him a happy birthday and ask him questions during a live online chat on Thursday, February 25, at 4:00 p.m. The chat can be accessed via the Thunder's website, thunder.nba.com.

Rumble debuted on February 17, 2009. His exact birthday is unknown but will be celebrated every season. Rumble is staying mum on how old he is -- much less how old he'd be in "people" years.
