Thunder Adds Sideline Reporter to Broadcast

OKLAHOMA CITY, Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008 – The Oklahoma City Thunder announced today the naming of Brent Weber as Thunder TV sideline reporter for the 2008-09 season. Weber is the newest addition to the broadcast team and will report from the sideline during all home and away games. He begins tonight during the preseason game with the Los Angeles Clippers.

“We are pleased to complete this broadcasting team with the addition of Brent,” Senior Vice President and Executive Producer Ken Adelson said. “He will be a key member of the broadcasting talent and delivery up close, personal accounts from the game to fans at home.”

Weber joins the team from KOKH, Oklahoma’s FOX affiliate where he has spent the last two years as morning news anchor. Weber has over three decades of combined experience in the television and sports industry. Prior to his Oklahoma career, he worked in the Los Angeles broadcasting market as CNN’s West Coast Sports Correspondent and was responsible for handling live game coverage for Fox Sports Net West.

The Illinois native, also served as sports director for the Orange County Newschannel and later produced and hosted an entertainment and lifestyle series titled, “Action Figures.”

The team also announced today Jim Miller as public address announcer and Jonathan Meisner as in-arena game emcee. Most recently Miller has been the voice of the Harrah High School basketball and football games. Meisner joins the team from Southern Nazarene University where he was an emcee and disc jockey at a variety of community and sporting events. Both will work exclusively with the events and entertainment department to bring world-class entertainment to Thunder games.
