Westbrook Named to 2012 Western Conference All-Star Team

OKLAHOMA CITY, February 9, 2012 – Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook was named a reserve on the Western Conference All-Star Team, the NBA announced today.

This season, the fourth-year guard is averaging 22.3 points (8th in NBA), 5.9 assists (18th in NBA), 4.8 rebounds, 2.0 steals (T-5th in NBA) and 35.0 minutes in 25 games (all starts). Westbrook has recorded 20 or more points 16 times including five efforts of 30 or more points.

For the second straight season, Westbrook will join teammate Kevin Durant on the Western Conference All-Star squad. In his first All-Star appearance, Westbrook finished with 12 points, five rebounds and two assists in 14 minutes of action.

The 2012 NBA All-Star Game, which will air live at 8 p.m. ET on TNT and ESPN Radio in the U.S., and reach fans in more than 200 countries and territories in more than 40 languages, will be played at Amway Center in Orlando – on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012.
