Thunder Recalls Cole Aldrich from Tulsa 66ers

OKLAHOMA CITY, April 13, 2011 – Oklahoma City Thunder Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti announced today that the team has recalled center Cole Aldrich from the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Development League.

Over three assignments, Aldrich helped guide Tulsa to a 17-4 record averaging 10.3 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.6 blocks, 1.3 assists and 29.3 minutes in 21 games (all starts). The rookie center lead the 66ers into the semifinals of the D-League Playoffs averaging 12.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 3.5 blocks, 2.0 steals, 2.0 assists and 36.0 minutes in two games.

He will join the Thunder for tonight’s 7:00 PM game against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Oklahoma City Arena.

Under NBA rules, a player can only be sent to the D-League a maximum of three times during the season. Aldrich is no longer eligible to play for Tulsa.
