Thunder Sets Preseason, Regular Season TV Schedule

OKLAHOMA CITY, Sept. 30, 2010 –The Oklahoma City Thunder and exclusive TV partner FOX Sports Oklahoma will broadcast 76 regular season games and one preseason game, all in HD, during the 2010-11 season. The other six regular season games are scheduled for exclusive national broadcast on ABC-TV and TNT. The one Thunder preseason game to be carried on FOX Sports Oklahoma is October 8 vs. the Miami Heat, in Kansas City. The regular season TV schedule on FOX Sports Oklahoma begins with Opening Night at home vs. the Chicago Bulls on October 27.

The Thunder broadcast team has been augmented with the addition of former NBA player Malik Rose, who played with the Thunder during the 2008-09 season. Rose will serve as studio analyst during Thunder road games and select home games on FOX Sports Oklahoma, joining FOX Sports anchors John Rhadigan or Dana Larson. Rose, an honorable mention All-American from Drexel University, was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in 1996. He played 14 seasons in the NBA with Charlotte, San Antonio, New York and the Thunder. Last season he provided TV studio analysis for the Knicks and game color analysis for the Austin Toros of the D-League.

The rest of the Thunder broadcast team consists of play-by-play announcer Brian Davis, color analyst Grant Long, sideline reporter Kelly Crull, radio play-by-play announcer Matt Pinto and Spanish radio announcer Eleno Ornelas. All preseason and regular season games will be carried live on the statewide Thunder Radio Network, led by flagship station WWLS-FM (98.1 FM). All Thunder home games will be broadcast in Spanish on La Indomable (WKY 930 AM) in Oklahoma City, with Ornelas providing the play-by-play for the third straight season.

Thunder Basketball writer Chris Silva will lead live web chats during all games via thunder.nba.com as part of the Thunder website’s TV Companion.

In addition to carrying the games, FOX Sports Oklahoma will be the exclusive TV home of Thunder Insider, a 30-minute weekly Thunder magazine show. Produced at the studios of newsok.com, Thunder Insider will also be available via the Internet on thunder.nba.com, newsok.com and thesportsanimal.com. Thunder Insider is presented by INTEGRIS Health.

FOX Sports Oklahoma is available via COX Oklahoma City on channels 37 and 722 HD and Cox Tulsa channels 27 and 722 HD. Subscribers of other cable outlets can check local listings.
