Fans Vote Erica as Final Thunder Girls Dance Team Member

OKLAHOMA CITY, Monday, July 27, 2009 – On Tuesday, July 21, 18 ladies were named to the 2009-10 Thunder Girls Dance Team. However, two Thunder Girl hopefuls, Stacy from Edmond, Okla. and Erica, from Midwest City, Okla., were chosen to participate in the first ever “People’s Choice” vote. The voting ended today at noon, and Erica has been declared the winner of the “People’s Choice” contest by winning 54% of the vote. 13,168 total votes were cast over the five-day election, and Erica narrowly defeated Stacy with 7,110 total votes.

Fans were asked to cast their vote on THUNDER.NBA.COM for who they wanted to be the 19th member of the Thunder Girls team for next season. The process to select the 2009-10 Thunder Girls dance team started with more than 100 women earlier this month.

The 2009-10 Thunder Girls are presented by FireLake Grand Casino. Below is the new 2009-10 Thunder dance team roster:
