    SONICS COACH BOB WEISS:

    On the game:
I thought it was a good basketball game. They got us in the third quarter. They hit that one string and we just didn’t have an answer. They hit I don’t know how many threes in a row and most of them were contested. That’s the type of team they are. We had some shots to win it down the stretch but we didn’t make them. Phoenix played a great ballgame.

    On the final possession:
The first option was Rashard (Lewis) off the pick and Ray (Allen) was the second option. I thought we maybe could have gotten it to Rashard but I’ll have to look at it again on the tape. It looked like he had the guy on his back as he came across the middle, and they were overplaying Ray. But the clock’s burning down and Luke’s (Ridnour) got to make a decision and usually when he gets in the paint like that he has a really good step-back move for a jumper. He tried to shoot a floater and they contested it. He just didn’t get it in.

On whether he was happy with the last shot:
He’s got to go. He’s done that several times. He had a great game. In that third quarter I think he had six deflections and I don’t know how many points. He was really on a roll. I definitely want him to keep being aggressive.

    On the Suns:
They played a great game. They did a good job keeping us off the boards. We missed Danny (Fortson). This is not a game where Robert Swift will play a lot. They are a small, mobile team and sometimes your bigger players don’t play too much.
