    SAN ANTONIO COACH GREGG POPOVICH:

    On the game:
It was a good win for us. We had good defensive performances from a lot of people. We played good team defense and that fueled us tonight. Tony Parker did a great job running the show. He stayed aggressive and communicated with his teammates. He was the real juice for us. Manu (Ginobili) is Manu every night and competed to the Nth degree. Together they gave us what we needed.

    On facing Denver Friday:
The thing with them has to be their transition game. You have to get back on defense because they will come and attack. You have to cut out the easy points. You also have to hit the boards hard. That will be the two things for us; the transition game and rebounding. George Karl has them believing in what he’s doing. He has them playing as a team, playing good defense. He has them doing everything he’s asked them to do.

    GUARD TONY PARKER:

    On his performance:
I was still mad about the way I played in our last game against Houston. I just wanted to be more aggressive with my shot tonight.

    On the game:
Our defense was good. We could have maybe done a better job on the boards, but Reggie Evans was tough for us down there tonight. Overall we played well.

    On Friday's matchup with Denver:
It will be a tough game for us. It is an 8:30 p.m. game, so it is a late game and that makes it a little different. They are playing well right now, and we had a tough loss to them the last time we played them here.

    On Sean Marks' performance:
He is doing well right now. It is hard not to play for two years and come in and be productive right away. Everyone here loves him though, and we are going to support him.

    FORWARD BRUCE BOWEN:

    On defending Ray Allen:
Ray is a very talented player and it is a challenge any time you have to guard him. I just try to do what I can to limit him when I am guarding him. I respect Ray a great deal, and when I play him I always have to be that much more ready to play.

    FORWARD SEAN MARKS:

On getting into a playing rhythm:
I have been struggling the last few games with my perimeter jumper, so it is just nice to see one go down tonight. It helps with the guys getting used to me out there and I think that I am starting to get in a rhythm. It was great to get a perimeter jumper tonight, and hopefully I will hit a few more.
