On the game:
We just can’t allow a team to shoot 65% from the field in the first half and end up shooting 62% for the game. It seemed as if they scored every time they came down the floor.

On Bobby Simmons' performance:
We knew about Bobby Simmons because last year he averaged 25 points a game against us. Elton (Brand) had a good game, but we just allowed the ball in the post too easy.

Simmons knocked down the shots from the perimeter and when a guy is that hot we have to force him to do something else. Whenever an NBA player catches the ball in a sweet spot, it's tough to guard them.

FORWARD VLADIMIR RADMANOVIC:

On the game:
I think it was just a lack of energy. This team has been together for two to three years and we just can’t let this happen.

CENTER ROBERT SWIFT:

On the game:
It just came down to desire. We have it too, but we just need to get a couple more games in and then we’ll be good.

LOS ANGELES COACH MIKE DUNLEAVY:

On the game:
I’m impressed with how well we played tonight. We played with great effort. We played hard, doing good things and executed well. We did a great job coming out after timeouts. We moved the ball well tonight. I knew we would play hard.

On individual contributions from the Clippers:
Bobby Simmons had a good game tonight. You can’t get more efficient than he was. I felt really good about Shaun (Livingston) out there; he was getting his feet wet and he gave us a good lift. I couldn’t be more pleased.

On the 2004-05 Clippers:
I love the team, we have a lot of young guys. Pretty much everybody plays hard every night. If everyone contributes the way I know they can, we’re going to come up with a lot of wins.

On his performance:
I feel that I can contribute this way every night. I think that because I put in work over the summer ... some nights are on and some are off, but you have to find the things you can do on the floor to help the team win.

I like this team. We’ve had a few setbacks, a few projected starters are out, but guys stepped it up. (Chris) Wilcox stepped it up, Bobby Simmons stepped it up, and I believed in us all along.
