The Northwest Division Champion Seattle SuperSonics earned their first trip to the Western Conference Semifinals since 1998 by defeating the Sacramento Kings in five games, winning all three times on their home court. Ray Allen led the Sonics, who will now take on the winner of the Denver-San Antonio series, by scoring 32.4 points per game in the five-game series. Allen's 45-point Game 4 outburst tied a Sonics playoff record and was a playoff career high for Allen.
