Thunder Playoff Tickets On Sale Friday

OKLAHOMA CITY, April 13, 2010 -- The Oklahoma City Thunder announced today that tickets for the first two home games of the Thunder's best-of-seven First Round 2010 NBA Playoffs series will go on sale to the general public this Friday, April 16, at 10 a.m. CDT. Tickets will be available at all Ticketmaster outlets, including online at thunder.nba.com, by phone at (800) 4NBA-TIX, the Ford Center box office and all metro Oklahoma City Homeland stores.

The dates, times and opponents for those games will be announced by the NBA later this week when the playoff scheduled is released. Single game non-premium tickets in various locations will range in price from $12 to $325. Fans can purchase up to four tickets for each home game. While the exact number of tickets available for home games One and Two has not yet been determined, that figure is expected to be more than 1,000 for each.

Fans are encouraged to order tickets online at thunder.nba.com beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday. The Ford Center will institute a lottery system to fairly accommodate fans who wish to purchase at the box office. Raffle tickets will be issued beginning at 8:30 a.m. and random tickets will be drawn starting at 9 a.m. to determine the order of the line. Camping out will not benefit ticket buyers and is not permitted.

Thunder Season Ticket Members were given advanced opportunity to reserve playoff tickets by renewing their season tickets for the 2010-11 season.

The Thunder has sold out 27 of its 40 home games this season, including the last 10.

The 2010 NBA Playoffs begin on Saturday, April 17. The 2010 Oklahoma City Thunder playoffs are presented by the Thunder’s Founding Partners: Chesapeake Energy, Devon Energy, MidFirst Bank, The Oklahoman and SandRidge Energy.
