Thunder at Home on New Year's Eve

OKLAHOMA CITY, Friday, Dec. 30 – Oklahoma City Thunder fans will welcome in the new year on Saturday night with their team, as the Thunder takes on the Phoenix Suns at Chesapeake Energy Arena. The game will tip off at 7 p.m.

Fans attending the game are welcome to visit the Thunder Community Foundation auction outside of Section 120 for a chance to bid on a variety of player-autographed items, including a limited-edition team-autographed holiday basketball. The auction begins at 5:30 and concludes at the end of the third quarter. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Thunder Community Foundation, which supports the team’s community-outreach programs.

Game Day

Due to several large events happening downtown on Saturday evening, all fans are strongly encouraged to budget additional time for travel and parking. Doors to the arena will open at 5:30 p.m.

Ticket Availability

For fans interested in tickets to Saturday’s game, the Thunder will offer 200 tickets on game day at the Thunder Rewards Zone. Beginning at 4 p.m. outside the Chesapeake Arena box office, fans can enter the raffle to win or purchase pairs of tickets. The first 75 fans in line can enjoy a sample from Buffalo Wild Wings on Northwest Expressway and a guaranteed opportunity to win or purchase tickets. At 6 p.m., 25 lucky participants will win a pair of Love’s Loud City tickets and 75 others will win the chance to purchase one of the remaining pairs. All Rewards Zone tickets are located in Love’s Loud City. The Thunder Rewards Zone is presented by Buffalo Wild Wings on Northwest Expressway.

Saturday’s game will be broadcast on FOX Sports Oklahoma (Cox OKC 37/722 HD) and with Matt Pinto on the Thunder Radio Network, led by WWLS-The Sports Animal (98.1 FM/640 AM in Oklahoma City). Calling Saturday’s game on FSO will be Thunder broadcasters Brian Davis and Grant Long, along with sideline reporter Kelly Crull.
