Seattle SuperSonics forward
Rashard Lewis will miss tonight's Game 6 of the Sonics Western Conference Semifinals series against the San Antonio Spurs.
"Rashard will not dress tonight," said Sonics Coach
Nate McMillan after this morning's shootaround. "His MRI showed a contusion and some tissue damage and something else that I can't pronounce."
Lewis' status beyond tonight - if the Sonics win to stave off elimination - is uncertain.
"We really don't know," said McMillan. "Basically, we know tonight he won't play and that
Antonio Daniels will start in his place."
McMillan reported that the All-Star was unhappy with the news.
"He's been disappointed the entire time not to be able to perform this time of the season after having such a good season for him and this team," said McMillan. "To not be here when he feels the team needs him is very frustrating for any player and it's been pretty emotional for him."
