No Serious Injury For Lewis

Further tests have revealed no serious injury to Seattle SuperSonics forward Rashard Lewis. After feeling pain in his right foot on Mar. 27 in a loss to the Washington Wizards, Lewis sat out both games on the Sonics two-game road trip last week. When the foot failed to respond to treatment, the Sonics ruled Lewis out indefinitely and he underwent more tests.

An MRI conducted last week revealed a bone bruise and a bruise to the tendon, but subsequent bone and CT scans did not turn up any further damage. As a result, Lewis is cleared to play when his pain subsides, possibly as soon as Friday's matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers (7:30 p.m, FSN, ), though he is considered questionable or doubtful for that game.

"Everything's cool," GM Rick Sund told the Associated Press. "Rashard will sit out a few more days to heal, then we'll re-evaluate it this weekend. We'll know more after that."
