When it comes to Seattle hoops, nobody knows more than Francis Williams. Head coach for eight years at Rainier Beach, where he won the 1988 state championship, Francis continues to follow the local prep scene as a representative for Adidas. Now he's joining the Sonics broadcast as the host of pregame, halftime and postgame radio shows on KTTH 770 AM. Seattle's Basketball Jones will keep the pulse of the Seattle basketball scene from pros to preps.
HCC Fall League Kicks Off Saturday

The area's top boys high school teams are participating in the 2006 Highline Community College Fall League. Games will be held each Saturday through Nov. 4 at the Highline Community College Gym. There are two games on the hour every hour starting at 12 noon with the last game starting at 6 p.m. Highline is located at 2400 S. 240th St, Des Moines, WA 98198.
The top players include:
Venoy Overton - Franklin (announced his verbal commitment to USC today)
Steven Gray - Bainbridge (committed to Gonzaga)
DeAngelo Jones - Rainier Beach (New Mexico State)
Terell Smith- Federal Way (Pacific)
Franklin, the defending 4A state champ, has excellent chance to repeat. Bainbridge will be one of the favorites in 3A.
