Each day THUNDER.NBA.COM will take a look at one of the top draft prospects in the June 25 NBA Draft.

Today, we’ll take a look at UCLA guard Jrue Holiday.

THE SKINNY

Point Guard
6’3”
180 lbs.
A highly regarded high school prospect, Holiday spent just one season at UCLA, where he primarily played off the ball. Holiday, though, is regarded as a point guard. He averaged 8.5 points, 3.7 assists and 1.6 steals for the Bruins while sharing the backcourt with senior point guard Darren Collison.

The 18-year-old Holiday is quick with deft ball handling skills, and has often compared his game to that of Denver’s Chauncey Billups. Holiday registered a 6’7” wingspan and 8’4 1/4” standing reach, both of which ranked first among point guards at the Chicago pre-draft combine.

MORE ABOUT JRUE
Jrue Holiday grew up in a basketball-crazed house. His older brother plays for Washington. His parents both played for Arizona State. Sports Illustrated wrote about Holiday’s basketball genes two years ago when he was still in high school…Holiday led his high school basketball team to three state championships in four years. For all the attention he garnered, the Los Angeles Times wrote a year ago that Holiday always remained humble.
