Thunder Hosts Guns N’ Hoses Game Wednesday

OKLAHOMA CITY, Tuesday, January 27, 2009 – The Oklahoma City Thunder will host the first annual Guns N’ Hoses night at the Ford Center on Wednesday, Jan. 28 before and during the matchup with the Memphis Grizzles at 7p.m.

The police and fire theme begins at Noon with a basketball game on the Ford Center court between the police offers and firefighters. Participants will attend the Thunder game and be involved in a number of activities throughout the evening. The national anthem will be performed by Oklahoma City Police Sergeant Justin Echols, the Oklahoma City Fire Department Color Guard will present the colors and a dodge ball halftime competition will pit Oklahoma City police officers vs. firefighters.

Fans attending Wednesday’s game will be greeted with a display of fire trucks and police cars on Reno Ave. in front of the Ford Center. In addition, Trochta's Flowers & Greenhouses will again greet the first 1,000 women through the doors with roses. Foam French Fries, courtesy of McDonald’s, will return to the Ford Center end zones for Wednesday’s game and the remainder of the season.
