Fortson Suspended For Two Games

NEW YORK - Seattle’s Danny Fortson has been suspended two games without pay for improper conduct following an ejection, including verbal abuse of a game official, not leaving the court in a timely manner and throwing a chair, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Senior Vice President, Basketball Operations.

The incident occurred with 7:09 remaining in the fourth quarter of Seattle’s 115-107 win over the visiting Sacramento Kings last night at KeyArena.

Fortson will serve his suspension during the Sonics game at Phoenix tonight and Sunday vs. Dallas.
