SEATTLE - The Seattle SuperSonics today signed
Noel Felix to a contract for the remainder of the season, Sonics General Manager Rick Sund announced.
A 6-9 forward out of Fresno State, Felix originally signed with the Sonics to the first of two 10-day contracts on March 2 and has averaged 1.3 points and 0.7 rebounds in three games with the Sonics
Felix began this season in training camp with the Sonics and averaged 2.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 10.8 minutes per game in five preseason games. He was waived by the team Oct. 29, 2005.
Felix appeared in 41 games this season with the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the Continental Basketball Association, where he averaged 15.7 points and 7.0 rebounds per games on 54.4 percent (259-476) shooting from the field. Felix was named the CBA's Defensive Player of the Year after leading the league with 2.0 blocks per game.
Felix attended Fresno State from 1999 through 2003 and registered 5.4 points and 3.7 rebounds per game in 128 career games.
