Thunder Events Staff Ready to Rumble
OKLAHOMA CITY, Thursday, September 18, 2008 – The Oklahoma City Thunder announced its events and entertainment department today, led by Director of Events and Entertainment John Leach. Leach and his staff will produce the entertainment and game presentation for all 41 Thunder home games and team events. “The team is committed to making each game a special, exciting experience for Thunder fans of all ages,” Leach said. “Our staff has been hard at work since July focused on bringing world-class NBA entertainment to the Ford Center.” Leach served a similar role with the Houston Rockets and the Charlotte Bobcats. He relocated to Oklahoma City from Seattle with the franchise. The Thunder’s events and entertainment staff also includes Events Manager Todd Albright; Entertainment Manager Jason Quintero, who joins the team from the New Orleans Hornets where he served as manager of game presentation during the team’s temporary relocation to Oklahoma City; Dance Team Manager and Choreographer Sabrina Ellison; Manager of Mascot Affairs Marc Taylor; Entertainment Coordinator Tyler Cofer and Associates Tara Fitzpatrick and Jasmine Hall. The department oversees and produces all elements of game production including the dance team, public address announcer, music, video and entertainment for halftime, timeouts and pre-game. In addition, the staff coordinates all public and private events for the Thunder organization. The team is currently accepting applications for public address announcer and emcee. Auditions for national anthem singers and other entertainers were held on Sunday. PA auditions are slated for this week. The Thunder’s Opening Night is October 29 vs. the Milwaukee Bucks at the Ford Center. Single-game tickets will be available in October.
