Oklahoma City Searches for Game Night Entertainment

OKLAHOMA CITY, Monday, August 25, 2008 –Oklahoma City’s new NBA team will host auditions for its inaugural season’s game entertainers and talent, including public address announcer and game night emcee.

“We know the talent is out there and we want to find it,” said John Leach, the team’s director of events and entertainment. “We want to produce an entertaining and top-class NBA show for all ages. We will need all types of entertainers and performers from across the region.”

All amateur and professional entertainers are welcome to showcase their unique talents and earn the opportunity to perform during upcoming games and special events. Candidates must be 18 years or older, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Auditions are by invitation only and pre-registration is required.

Auditions are being held in mid-September to complete the game elements for 41 home games at the Ford Center. The team encourages all hopeful national anthem and half time acts to audition. Participants for OKC’s Got Talent auditions can include acrobats, break dancers, cheer stunt performers, fire breathers, freestyle bicyclists, gymnasts, jam skaters, jugglers, magicians, martial artists, stilt walkers, tumblers and unicyclists. A separate drummer audition will be hosted to search for musicians who can prompt and stimulate thousands of fans with the beat of their unique sound. Public announcer and game emcee spots are available and open to those who have a background or knowledge of basketball and broadcasting.
