Durant Nominated for Two ESPY Awards

SEATTLE - The Seattle SuperSonics announced today that first-round draft pick Kevin Durant will attend the annual ESPY Awards Ceremonies in Los Angeles on Wednesday, July 11 and will not participate in the team's Las Vegas Summer League game vs. the Milwaukee Bucks that night. Attending the ESPYs was a previous commitment scheduled for Durant.
Durant was the No. 2 overall selection in the 2007 NBA Draft and has been nominated for two awards at this year's ESPYs, which are scheduled to air this Friday, July 13 at 6:00 p.m. PT from the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles. Durant is up for
Best Breakthrough Athlete and
Best Male College Athlete.
In two Las Vegas Summer League games so far this season, Durant is averaging 18.0 points per game for the Sonics.
