SONICS LOOK FOR HARMONY ON THE LANES
When the Seattle SuperSonics arrived for their evening practice Thursday night at The Furtado Center, they got a surprise. Instead of their third day of two-a-days, the Sonics instead found buses to take them to ACME Bowl in Tukwila, where they spent the evening bowling as opposed to playing basketball.

LEGENDS TOUR
With fans crowding the NeighborHoops court at the Green Lake Community Center Saturday morning, the Sonics & Storm Legends Tour honored the two coaches to bring championships to Seattle. Lenny Wilkens coached the Seattle SuperSonics to the 1979 NBA Championship, while two years ago Thursday Anne Donovan's Seattle Storm won the WNBA Championship. The two championship trophies were on display Saturday during the seventh stop of the Legends Tour.

LOCKED ON SONICS
New Sonics radio play-by-play broadcaster David Locke is blogging all things Sonics and NBA:
Green Lake Court Dedication - Sorry to say that I don’t have a practice update for you today.
Instead, I went to Green Lake to see the Sonics & Storm rededicate another court to our community and to honor Lenny Wilkens and Anne Donovan. It was pretty awesome to see Lenny, who will work with KC on FSN this year, and Anne together. It is remarkable that those are the only two coaches in Seattle professional sports to win a championship.

A good friend of mine thinks Luke Ridnour turns the ball over way too much to be a good point guard in the NBA. What are your thoughts?
- Giles
I'm afraid your friend is wrong. My buddy John Hollinger of ESPN Insider uses a stat called Turnover Ratio to evaluate how well players take care of the ball. Without getting into the math, the basic theory is how often a player turns it over per possession used or assist.
Last year, the average for all point guards was an 11.0 Turnover Ratio. Ridnour's was 9.9. Some of the point guards with higher Turnover Ratios included Steve Nash (12.1), Tony Parker (12.1), Gilbert Arenas (10.5) and Jason Kidd (10.1). I'd say all those guys are good point guards.
Actually, it's Earl Watson for whom turnovers are more of a concern. Watson's Turnover Rate last season was 14.1, one of the highest amongst point guards. If Watson could cut that down, it would be terrific for the Sonics, but he brings so many other positives to the table that you'll gladly live with a few turnovers.

30 TEAMS IN 30 DAYS
David Locke and the rest of the SUPERSONICS.COM experts are going around the league to preview 30 teams in 30 days. Today, the Detroit Pistons: "What most people missed about Detroit is that they went through a huge transformation last season even before they lost Ben Wallace. The Detroit Pistons became an offensive team last year rather than a defensive team. For most of the season, they were the #1 team in the NBA in offensive efficiency. What was lost was that defensively the Pistons slipped. They were still strong, but they were not the defensive force they had been before." Read more
